Esp: Mientras se limaba las uñas, afilaba pensamientos retorcidos de una vida diferente. En su cabeza resonaba: “¿Qué será: rojo en la mano o París en el alma?”
Sacó su telefono celular y compró el billete.

Eng: While filing her nails, she sharpened twisted thoughts of a different life. Her head echoed the question:

Esp: Antes de irse a dormir, vistió sus sueños con un libro. Solo así languidecieron sus pesadillas;  esas líneas eran un veneno delicado con fragancias refinadas y hostiles.

Eng: Before going to sleep, she dressed her dreams with a book. Only this way did her nightmares languish;  those lines were a delicate poison with refined and hostile fragrances.
